Certified Collectibles Group buys Lakewood Ranch office building for $4.4 million
SARASOTA, Fla. (March 11, 2021) – Certified Collectibles Group (CCG) has purchased a 20,809-square-foot standalone office building in Lakewood Ranch for $4.4 million. The property, located at 6802 Energy Court in Sarasota, is the company’s second location in Lakewood Ranch.
Ian Black, CCIM, of Ian Black Real Estate represented the buyer. Susan Goldstein of MSC Commercial represented the seller, Lake Jackson Venture LTD.
“Standalone office buildings of this size are in high demand in Lakewood Ranch,” said Black. “Most buildings in this area are less than 15 years old, which appeals to buyers. And there’s not a significant number of office properties available in the 10,000 to 12,000 square foot range. We were pleased to get this deal done for the buyer and help them expand their local operation.”
CCG is the world’s leading provider of expert, impartial and tech-enabled services that add value and liquidity to collectibles. It is comprised of eight companies that provide authentication services. Since 1987, CCG has certified more than 60 million coins, banknotes, comic books, trading cards, stamps, estate items and related collectibles.
The company is expanding its operation locally to meet the demand for the growing collectibles market. Its two Lakewood Ranch locations, which total more than 82,000 square feet of space, serve as the global headquarters for the company, which employs more than 400 people worldwide and 330 in Sarasota.
“CCG is laser-focused on providing best-in-class services to our customers as demand for our expertise increases,” said Steven Eichenbaum, CEO of CCG. “This new building reflects our continued commitment to our customers and the collectibles markets.”
