Nate joined the Ian Black team in 2022 as a Building Engineer. His job responsibilities include inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on all building systems. Working alongside our property management team and ownership, he determines the ongoing needs and ensures that all systems are optimally and proactively maintained.

 

Nate’s vast understanding of building systems includes building automation systems (BAS), HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire & life safety. In addition to his technical knowledge, he is meticulous when it comes to property upkeep and takes pride in ensuring the appearance of our Class-A buildings.

 

Nate is a graduate of Florida State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Prior to joining Ian Black, he was the Maintenance Director for the Sarasota YMCA, and the Facility Manager for a 96-unit new construction apartment building and a multi-tenant office building.

 

In his downtime, Nate can be found pursuing his interests in entrepreneurship and finance, enjoying the great outdoors, playing with his two young nephews, Cayden and Caleb, and taking in FSU football games. Go Noles!
